Guests enter the villa across a shallow pool marking the entrance, walk beneath its soaring ceilings and emerge onto a sprawling timber deck offering spectacular views of rice fields and mountains. The abundant use of natural materials in Villa Mana’s construction boldly embodies the Balinese landscape. Its standout muse is timber – with rich wood used liberally throughout the design, be it as the signature material of the sprawling deck, the villa’s walls and its furnishings.

Timber is ideal for hot climates as it doesn’t store much heat and sheds warmth quickly, however Bali’s tropical climate means high humidity all year round and heavy rains during monsoon season, which can be challenging on timber.
