The Mercure Hotel, Townsville
The Mecure Hotel in Townsville offers resort style accommodation in tropical north Queensland. A star attraction of the resort is the largest hotel free form swimming pool in Townsville.
A sun deck surrounds the pool which required protection from the elements. UltraDeck was selected as the timber finish due to its high performance characteristics and its natural appearance. Ease of application and maintenance was also important factor in the choice so disruption to the guests is minimised during the application process.
Three coats of UltraDeck were applied after the deck was prepared with Reviva. The Mercure maintenance team applied the finish and are responsible for the on going maintenance
