Why can't I apply DWD with a roller?

DWD®
A highly durable, long lasting, water based transparent finish that provides excellent UV resistance and timber protection. Apply following the three stage TriShield Application System.
Note: The UV absorber system in DWD will impart a transparent golden orange-brown tint. Test for colour suitability before proceeding. Do not use on reeded/grooved decks. All new or bare timber must be cleaned with Reviva and primed with Dimension 4 prior to application of DWD. Where To Use

No. of Coats Required
Three, taking care to apply sufficient product to edges and ends. Four coats will be required in extreme conditions such as full sun exposure, around pools and in humid areas, and may be required on porous timbers.
