Why can't I apply DWD with a roller?

Product ImageA highly durable, long lasting, water based transparent finish that provides excellent UV resistance and timber protection. Apply following the three stage TriShield Application System.

Note: The UV absorber system in DWD will impart a transparent golden orange-brown tint. Test for colour suitability before proceeding. Do not use on reeded/grooved decks. All new or bare timber must be cleaned with Reviva and primed with Dimension 4 prior to application of DWD.
 Where To Use
On all exterior timber including doors, windows, decking, weatherboards, siding, pergolas, fascias and fences. Gloss Level
Low sheen.

Apply With
Brush, spray or applicator.
 
No. of Coats Required
Three, taking care to apply sufficient product to edges and ends. Four coats will be required in extreme conditions such as full sun exposure, around pools and in humid areas, and may be required on porous timbers.
 
Recoat Time
Allow minimum 4 hours drying at 25°C and a maximum 7 days between coats.
 
Drying/curing Time
Touch Dry: 1 hour at 25°C and 50% humidity.
Walk on: 4 hours.
Full curing: 7 days.
 
Coverage Rate m2/L
Rough Sawn Timber: Approximately 4-8 square metres per litre.
Sawn Timber: Approximately 8-12 square metres per litre.
Dressed Timber: Approximately 12-14 square metres per litre.
 
Sand Between Coats
If necessary, sand lightly between coats to remove any raised grain.
 
Clean Up With
Water.

1, 4 and 10L.
